Roadwork

Roadwork was completed earlier this year and included the following:

Road work and signs
  • The road from SR 69 to the river crossing and from the Y up to the gate was paved earlier this year. It is approximately 1.1 miles of beautiful road now.
  • The culverts were cleaned and replaced where needed, and new culverts were added in places.
  • The posted speed limit is 15 mph. There are signs indicating private property and dead end to alert people that this is private and gated.

Items still in progress:

  • The gate should be operational by the end of next week.  This particular gate has been moved closer to the Y from the river and it is now in place. The mechanism has been ordered from Phoenix.  When it arrives and is installed, each person will have the option of loading in up to 4 codes.  We will keep track and install the codes when you give them to us. The purpose is so if you want to give temporary access to a visitor or realtor, you can then erase it later. There will be a keypad. First responders will have a gate code.
  • We are working on repainting the gate arms so they are very visible, plus there will be some decorative designs attached.
  • Next year we will need to chip seal the road surface, and then oil it 5 years after that.
